The very first post of the Tucson Murals project went live on July 12, 2006, posted by Randy Garsee. He was determined to feature the copious murals of Tucson, and that legacy has survived almost 20 years - although stewarded by a few different folks along the way.
Each week we’ll feature another mural from the archives. Having over 2,000 posts will keep us busy for a while.

Fish swimming in the desert, reliefs and metal plants all combine to make up the Limberlost Neighborhood Mural. This mural stretches nearly an entire city block. It’s located at 4100 N. Stone Avenue.
Do you have thoughts, memories, or photos of this mural along its lifespan? We’d love to hear all about it.
